What are the working hours of the Museum?
  • In the summer period (from May 15 to September 30) the Moscow Kremlin Museums work from 10.00 to 18.00, in the winter period – from 10.00 to 17.00, the day off – Thursday. You can find information about changes in the working hours on the main page of our website.

How do I buy tickets to the Kremlin Museums?

  • Tickets are purchased at the museum’s ticket office on the day of the visit. If you want to buy tickets in advance, you can use the online service. However, it should be noted that "free" tickets cannot be purchased online.

 

Can I buy tickets online for the current day?
  • No, there is a ticket pre-sale on the website, a ticket for the current today can be bought only at the ticket office.

 

How much does a ticket cost? 

  • A full ticket to the Armoury costs 1000 rubles. A full ticket to the architectural ensemble of Cathedral Square – 700 rubles. Children under the age of 16 visit the Kremlin Museums with a free of charge ticket. Click here for detailed information.

 

If I only want to visit the Armory Chamber, do I have to buy a ticket to the Kremlin territory?
  • No, you just need to buy a ticket to the Armoury Chamber.
 

How can I get into the Kremlin?

  • The access to the Kremlin territory is through Kutafia Tower; the Armoury Chamber – through Borovitskaya Tower passage. There can be a queue at the security checkpoint, for the best experience, please arrive beforehand (30-40 min).


How can I go on a guided tour in the Museum?
  • You can purchase a tour on the Museum's website; there you can find different types of excursions:
    - for an organized children's group (22 children and 2 accompanying persons)
    - for a mixed group (max. 20 people). In this case, you pay for a guided tour and 10 tickets at full price beforehand. You purchase the remaining 10 tickets at the ticket office when exchanging the voucher, at the cost of the corresponding category of visitors - full or discounted ticket;
    - assembled group.

    When purchasing excursion tickets online, please read the User Agreement and Rules of settling an excursion, which defines the rights and obligations of the Customer and the Museum.
 

Can I change my ticket, change the date/time?
  • It is not possible to change the ticket or move the date/time. You can return the ticket and purchase a new one. Timeframes for refund depend on the type of ticket and are specified in the User Agreement.

 

Can I return a ticket paid for on the website?

  • Yes, to do so you need to fill in an application form and send it to tickets-vozvrat@kremlin.museum.ru. You can also fill out a refund request at the ticket office. Timeframes for refunds depend on the type of ticket and are specified in the User Agreement.

 

I want to buy a ticket/a tour online, but there are no tickets on the date I need.

  • You may not see tickets sale on the date and time you need in the following cases.
    - The sale of tickets and tours has not yet started. The sale opens 17 calendar days before the date of your visit. For example, on the first day of the month, the sale opens on the 18th, etc.
    - All tickets/tours for the date or time you need are already sold out.
    - The date you have chosen is Thursday. On Thursday, the Kremlin is closed to visitors.

 

The voucher is issued for me, can another person get tickets for it at the ticket office?
  • Only the person whose name is written in the ticket can pick it up. If for any reason you cannot exchange the voucher for tickets, the recipient of the tickets must have a power of attorney from you. However, if you have issued individual tickets for a museum visit as part of an assembled group, only those people whose name you specified in the order can receive them and go to the Museum. Moreover, each one can only get their own ticket.


I have several tickets in the electronic order, can I return only one of them?  
  • No, you can only return the entire order, that is, all the tickets included in the order. The refund period depends on the type of ticket and is specified in the User Agreement.
 

I have a small child. Can I go to the museum with a baby carriage or a stroller?
  • You can take a stroller.
 

I'm a wheelchair user. Is it possible to visit the Armory and Cathedrals? 
  • Yes, it is possible to visit the Armory and Cathedrals, but you need attendants who can help you mount the stairs. The Kremlin Museums are protected by UNESCO, so we are not able to reconstruct the stairs or install lifting devices to provide a more comfortable passage for the disabled. Your two companions are entitled to free of charge tickets.
 
Can I take photos
  • Please kindly understand that photography in the Armoury Chamber is forbidden in order to preserve the artefacts. Amateur photography in the museums-cathedrals, at displays and on the territory of the Kremlin is allowed without using flash and additional equipment. Video recording in is prohibited.

Are there any luggage storage facilities and any restrictions on the receipt of items?
  • The left luggage office for visitors of the Moscow Kremlin is located at the foot of Kutafiya Tower. It is open daily from 9:00 to 18:30 (on days of religious events in the Moscow Kremlin cathedrals - from 7:30 to 18:30, on days of theatrical and entertainment events in the State Kremlin Palace - from 9:00 to 23:00). Is there a museum parking?
  • Unfortunately, there is not.
