From 8 till 10 November 2017, IVInternational Trade Fair for Heritage Preservation, Restoration and Museum Technology “Denkmal, Russia – Moscow 2017” took place in the Gostiniy Dvor. Minister of Culture V.R. Medinskiy and Mayor of Moscow S.S. Sobyanin spoke at a gala opening of the exhibition.

The Moscow Kremlin Museums presented its restoration projects as part of united stand of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. The stand displayed results of the work realized during the past two years by the best representatives of this sphere in Russia, including restorers of the Moscow Kremlin Museums.

The meeting of project organizers, heads of museums and other cultural institutes, with leading restoration activity, under the chairmanship of O.V. Ryzhkov, deputy minister of culture, became a principle part of the first day of the exhibition. Deputy Director of the Moscow Kremlin Museums N.F. Afanasieva partook in the meeting.

N.F. Afanasieva underlined that function of the Moscow Kremlin Museums is impossible without restoration and thanked all restorers-participants of the exhibition for their hard work, owing to which museum masterpieces are preserved for future generations.
