On 17 May 2025, the Moscow Kremlin Museums joined the All-Russian Campaign “The Night of the Museums”. Lectures about Russian heroes and saint warriors were prepared for the guests on Manezhnaya Street, 7. In the Alexander Garden, other participants visited the excursion about the memorials of two patriotic wars.

During the lecture, “Alexander Nevsky – Protector of the Russian Land” the guests learned about the history and work of one of the most famous heroes of Russian history. Being the winner of the legendary battles, the prince was an ingenious diplomat who managed to establish relations with the Golden Horde. Lector Ms. Marina Rakitina narrated about the principal milestones in his biography, strategic skills, diplomatic and military mastery.

In the Alexander Garden, the participants visited the memorials of the 1812 Patriotic War and the Great Patriotic War, learned about the feats of our ancestors. The author of the excursion, Mr. Dmitry Valyavin, helped the audience to review the popular historical places and evaluate the cultural diversity of Russia’s military heritage.

The evening finished with the lecture “Saint Warriors in the Frescoes of Kremlin Cathedrals” that allowed guests to study the images of saint warriors who had died at the dawn of Christianity and who had become part of the frescoes in the cathedrals of the Moscow Kremlin. Lector Ms Larisa Solovyeva explained where to look for these images, which prayers were addressed to them and when they were asked for protection against the enemies, and when – for a generous harvest and successful trade.
