On 22 December 2023, the Moscow Kremlin Museums held for the guests of lecture hall a festive programme “A New Year Ball in Gedeonov's Mansion” that was dedicated to the balls of the Romanticism epoch.

On 20 December 2023, within the framework of international cultural cooperation expansion General Director of the Moscow Kremlin Museums Elena Yu. Gagarina made a speech in the Learning Centre of the National Museum in the Sultanate of Oman before the representatives of the Sultanate, members of the administration and friends of the museum, students, and other guests interested in culture and the museum sphere.

On 20 December 2023, the staff members of the Moscow Kremlin Museums will carry out educational and cultural programs and read lectures in the pavilion of PAO “Gazprom” within the framework of the international forum exhibition RUSSIA EXPO at VDNH.

From 18 December 2023 till 14 January 2024, the museum will hold a lottery draw of the exhibition catalogues “Legends of the Kremlin. Russian Romanticism and the Armoury Chamber” with an autograph of General Director Elena Yu. Gagarina.

The Moscow Kremlin Museums will present the editions at the International Fair of Intellectual Literature “Non/fiction” that will take place in the Gostiniy Dvor from 30 November till 3 December.

On 16 November 2023, within the framework of the United Cultures Forum in Saint Petersburg the partnership agreement between the Moscow Kremlin Museums and the National Museum of Oman was solemnly signed by Elena Gagarina, General Director of the Moscow Kremlin Museums, andHis Excellency Jamal Hassan al-Moosawi, General Secretary.

On 1 November 2023 in the Faceted Chamber of the Patriarch’s Palace, the concert “Music of Tsars’ Ceremonials” introduced to the audience the tradition of church singing that used to be popular at the Russian court in the second half of the 16th century.

The West-European music of the 16th-17th centuries was performed at the concert “Ambassadorial Custom” held in the Cross Chamber of the Patriarch’s Palace. In the 17th century, Russia maintained constant diplomatic ties with many foreign countries, and participants of the embassies, who left dairies and memoirs, were deeply impressed by the solemn atmosphere of the Faceted and Golden Chambers at the receptions.

This exhibition, dedicated to the eminent person in Russian and Soviet history, the first Marshal of the Soviet Union Kliment Efremovich Voroshilov (1881-1969), is to open on 3 November in the Anteroom of the Armoury Chamber. His turbulent career turned him into a symbol of the epoch and a cult figure for the youth and the military.

On 13 October 2023, the exhibition halls of the Patriarch’s Palace and the Assumption Belfry will welcome the opening of the exhibition, dedicated to the Armoury Chamber in the period of the comprehension of national history in the 19th century. The project demonstrates how the fiction and reality intertwine within the history of unique art objects from the Kremlin collection.

For the first time the Moscow Kremlin Museums will take part in the 23rd International Exhibition of Gifts ‘Presentica’, where they are going to present new souvenirs themed on the collections of the museum. The display will be held on 21-23 September in Gostiny Dvor.

On 23 June 2023, on Tsvetnoy Boulevard, the photography exhibition of the Moscow Kremlin Museums under the title “Great Victories of the Russian Empire: Peter I and Karl XII” started its work.

On 8 June 2023, the press conference of General Director of the Moscow Kremlin Museums E.Yu. Gagarina and General Director of the State Vladimir Suzdal Museum Reserve E.V. Pronicheva was held in the Armoury Chamber.

On 4 June in the Literary Drawing Room of the GUM Department Store the presentation of the exhibition catalogue “The Heavenly Host. Image and Veneration” and programs, specially prepared for the project of the Moscow Kremlin Museums, was held within the framework of the “Red Square” Book Fair.

From the 2nd till the 6th of June, the 11th Book Fair “Red Square” will be held in Moscow. The stand of the Moscow Kremlin Museums with open in the GUM Department Store, on the Museum line. The visitors will be able to buy exhibition catalogues, monographs, albums and books for family reading. On 4 June from 11:00 till 13.00, the events, specially organized for the guests of the festival by the Moscow Kremlin Museums, will be held in the Literary Drawing Room (GUM’s reception hall).

On 20 May 2023, the Moscow Kremlin Museums took part in the All-Russian Campaign “The Night of the Museums”. A special evening program with lectures and film screening awaited the guests in the museum’s Lecture Hall on the Manezhnaya street, 7.

The festival ran in the Moscow Kremlin Museums for four years. The series of concerts were dedicated to the birth and formation of the Russian opera.

On 20 May 2023, the Moscow Kremlin Museums will join the All-Russian Campaign “The Night of the Museums”. A special evening program will be held in the museum’s Lecture Hall on the Manezhnaya street, 7.

On 19 May 2023, the Moscow Kremlin Museums will introduce the exhibition ‘The Treasury of King Christian IV of Denmark’ that will be on show in the state anteroom of the Armoury Chamber. The exhibition is dedicated to the 530th anniversary since official diplomatic relations between Russia and Denmark were established.

Elena Milovzorova, Head of the Publishing and Special Programs Department, addressed the audience with a welcoming speech. She told about the history of the festival, about the shows performed during this time, among which were the music piece after Simeon of Polotsk, stagings of different Russian operas such as ‘Cephalus and Prokris’, ‘Alexander and Elizaveta’, and other beautiful pieces.

On 6 April 2023, the stand of the Moscow Kremlin Museums started its work on the International Book Fair for High-Quality Fiction and Non-Fiction “Non/fiction” in the Gostiniy Dvor.

On 6 April at 19:30, the Moscow Kremlin Museums and KARO.Art invite the public to the cinema "KARO 11 Octyabr" to watch the film screening “Horde” by Andrew Proshkin and listen to the lecture of Elizaveta Titova, lecturer and art historian of the Moscow Kremlin Museums.

On 21-23 March 2023, the anniversary research-to-practice conference ‘Museum Libraries in Modern Society’ was held in the lecture hall of the Moscow Kremlin Museums on the Manezhnaya street. This year, the theme of the conference was ‘Museum Libraries and Professional Associations: Cross-Disciplinary Aspect’.

On 14 March 2023, the Armoury Chamber in the Kremlin hosted the first ‘Musical Gathering’. The audience listened to the music pieces of two composers of the Romantic era Johannes Brahms and Аntonín Dvořák played by pianist Dmitry Masleev, award winner of the 15th Tсhaikovsky International Competition, and State Quartet named after Borodin, one of the oldest chamber ensembles of the world.

KARO.Art is a special project of the cinema chain‘KARO’ with a unique repertoire policy: the spectators will have an opportunity to watch independent, experimental, classic and cult cinema films.

21 February – International Tourist Guide Day! On this day, we congratulate all members of the Excursion and Methodical Department who on a regular basis help people coming to the Moscow Kremlin from all parts of our country and the world to see and uncover the beauty of the preserved masterpieces: from the magnificent cathedrals, towering on the Cathedral Square, to the finest jewellery pieces, carefully kept in the Armoury Chamber.

20 members of Special Military Operation (SMO) visited the Armoury Chamber with a guided tour. The event was held within the framework of the project ‘The Service of SMO Veteran’s Support’ organized by the All-Russian People’s Front. The project is aimed to help wounded soldiers and officers to come back to social life, lift the restrictions and give new opportunities.
