“The exhibition dedicated to the medieval art is to open at the Moscow Kremlin Museums. ‘Saint Louis and Relics of the Sainte-Chapelle’ is the name of the display which was presented to the journalists today at the residence of the Ambassador of France. The exhibition introduces true masterpieces of Gothic art related to the epoch of King Louis IX.

Many of the exhibits will be shown in Russia for the first time. Among them are the finest stained glasses from the Sainte-Chapelle (Gothic chapel in Paris), relics from the Louvre collection and ancient manuscripts from the National Library of France.

Director General of the Moscow Kremlin Museums Elena Gagarina: ‘This exhibition will familiarize with unsurpassed masterpieces of Gothic art, which achieved its status of all-European style by means of cultural influence of Saint Louis` France’.

The display supported by ‘Gazprom’ and French ENGIE will open on the 3rd of March and become a part of Russia-France Year of Culture.”
