On 7 September 2022, the opening of the exhibition called "Tsar Peter Alexeevich. On the Eve of Empire. The Moscow Kremlin Museums’ Collection" took place at the V. K. Arseniev State Museum and Heritage Site of Far East History. There are over 100 objects on display, which are related to the least known early period of the first emperor’s life – from birth till sole full empowerment. Those are ambassadorial gifts, the state regalia, art pieces of court jewellers, as well as personal belongings of Peter I and items of other members of the tsar family.

"This project is of great importance to us – it’s for the first time that we are doing such kind of exhibition and doing it especially for Vladivostok city. We have given on loan many rare and highly valued pieces related to Peter the Great. I have no doubt that visitors to the museum will find it both interesting and extremely useful to see things connected with this great sovereign," noted Director General of the Moscow Kremlin Museums Elena Gagarina.

The opening ceremony was also introduced by Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Management Committee of PJSC Gazprom – the general partner of the display, and Victor Shalay, director of the V. K. Arseniev Museum of Far East History. The participants of the Eastern Economic Forum, government officials, business people and cultural figures became the first guests of the vernissage.
