Our Lady of Tikhvin157 exhibits from the armoury Collection have been selected for the display in Astana exhibition halls. Each of item is of historical and artistic value.

Of particular interes is the collection of Russian royal ceremonial weapons. On display are bow-case and quiver of the second part of the 17th century, adorned with embroidery, gilding, niello and carving. Fire-arms executed by Russian and foreign makers are also very interesting from the artistic point.

Collection of arti metal includes jewelry items of the 12th-20th centuries. The collection allows to follow the development of Russian jewellery art. Exhibits, eecuted by foreign goldsmiths reflect all stylistic streams of the European art from Roman and Gothic to Modern and Avant-garde art.

Russian porcellain of the 19th century, the Stables treasury collection and the collection of textiles are worth separate mentioning.

The key of the exposition is the set of the miraculous icon of Our Lady of Tikhvin. The icon itself has been lost. Although nowadays there are many copies of this image, specialists consider it inappropriate to exhibit a replica.
