sliderThe edition, accompanying the exhibition of the Moscow Kremlin Museums, presents the works of art that have passed through the hands of restorers over the last ten – fifteen years. The museum school of restoration has longtime traditions and is considered to be one of the best in the world. The catalogue presents ninety six works of art spanning the period from the XIVth to the XXth century, most of which are created by outstanding masters and connected with the famous historical figures. Each of the four sections of the catalogue introduces the work of one of the four sectors of the department: metal, painting, textile restoration and the restoration of paper, books and graphical materials. Thus, the catalogue authors are trying to present different aspects of restoration activity and at the same time to demonstrate the variety of monuments stored at the Moscow Kremlin Museums.
